Netflix has launched several big action blockbusters so far this year, but the most popular new release of them all has been War Machine. Best known for his role in Prime Video’s Reacher, War Machine stars Alan Ritchson, who is well on his way to becoming one of the biggest action stars in the world, especially in the streaming landscape. Netflix brought together stars Charlize Theron and Taron Egerton for another massive 2026 blockbuster, Apex, which also earned over 100 million views during its first 30 days on streaming. The streamer also has a few big releases coming before the end of the year, including Ray Gunn, the animated feature from Brad Bird 30 years in the making. The film is releasing on Netflix globally on December 18, the same day as Dune: Part Three and Avengers: Doomsday.
